Betty Jo Vananda Hurst, age 84, of Maryville went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 18, 2025.  Betty loved her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hurst; sons, Kenneth Frye and Tim Frye; grandson, Buddy Wilburn; parents, Megler and Johnnie Vananda; brother, Jimmy Vananda; and sister, Patsy Vananda.

Betty is survived by her children, Billy Frye, Danny Frye, Ricky Frye, and Anita Hurst; grandchildren, Tiffany, Timothy, Misty, Tanya, Josh, Candice, Justin, and Shannon; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Wanda, Anita, Bobby, and Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home, Cedar Chapel, Rev. Thomas Vananda officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Sevierville, Rev. Rick Smelcer officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
