Betty Irene Gribble, age 89, of Maryville TN, departed this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday evening, June 28, 2024.

She was a devoted Christian and served in a couple area churches over the decades until health prohibited doing so.

She is proceeded in death by her parents and 3 siblings and her loving husband. She loved her five children and was motherly to many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her children Rachel Nelson, David Weiford, Samuel "Richie" Gribble, Anita Massengale and Heather Gribble;  grandchildren, Joseph Weiford, Robert Lapaglia and Maranda Massangale; two great-grandchildren, Alyson Weiford and Lily Lapaglia; and her beloved dog, Rolland.

Born in outskirts of Baltimore, MD she married husband Samuel R Gribble Sr (a Maryville native) and visited TN frequently, falling in love with the area. She loved the mountains, the animals and all God's creation.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home, Rev. Ben Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Four Mile Cemetery, 6978 4 Mile Rd. Maryville TN. 37803.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
