Alan Lee Morton, 66, passed away February 2, 2025, in Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by his father, Marion Lee Morton.  He is survived by his son, Alden Stewart Morton; mother, Maxine Falls; step-mother, Mildred Morton; step-brother, Tim McCollom; and honorary children, Harrison Shaw Owens, Varland Owens, and Analise Harkins.

Alan was a graduate of LSU in Baton Rouge, LA with a Master's Degree in Art.  He used that to teach Art in various schools across Louisiana for over 30 years.  He was an accomplished musician for even longer than that.  Teaching music and playing in his band, The Fugitive Poets, for 20 years before retiring back to his home state of Tennessee to enjoy the Smokies.  He touched thousands of lives throughout his careers and was the truest form of a renaissance man.

Graveside services were held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Shady Grove Cemetery.  There will be many celebrations in his honor from Louisiana to Tennessee that will be announced soon.
