Agnes Hatcher West Tomlinson, age 88 of Maryville went to be with her trusted Lord and Savior during the early morning hours of May 30, 2022, at Blount Memorial Hospital.

She was a graduate of Lanier High School and served her community as a certified nursing assistant throughout her working career. She was a loyal, lifelong member of Nelson Chapel Church of Christ.

Agnes is preceded in death by her parents Elijah and Lillian Hatcher, brothers Ralph Lindsay Hatcher, Owen Levi Hatcher, and Bruce Butler Hatcher. Husband of 45 years, Cecil Vaughn West and second husband of 2 years, Les Tomlinson. Daughters Cathy Regina Martin and Janice West Christman, and granddaughter Misty Lea Whaley.

Survivors include sons Vaughn Edward West (Heather) and Timothy Dwayne West (Glenda). Daughters Rhonda Johnson (Ricky) and Tracy Gregory, all of Maryville. Brother Paul Rufus Hatcher and sister Martha Sue Hearon, both of Maryville. Agnes also had several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a countless number of dear friends.

Special thanks to family friend, Rena Hale for helping take care of Agnes over the past year as her health declined. An additional thanks to Heather Philip as she also helped take care of Agnes.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Rev. Arthur Pigman officiating.  Interment service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Nelson Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
